Lite won't download

Post by Mareng »

I have had Forscan Lite on my tablet for about 5 years and has worked well.
I hadn't used it for a while and went to use it.
It got to the point of the icon turning green then dropped off leaving the message about being connected to the internet or something.
You cannot be connected to the internet via the house wifi and still connect to the OBD by wifi at the same time. And yes it was definately connected to the OBD.

I then decided to uninstall Forscan and reinstall whilst connected to the internet via wifi.
Connect up to GOOGLE play following the prompts, but this message comes up.

How soon is Soon. Its been sat waiting 2 hours. A few minutes I can understand, but not at all.

Because of this Russian/Ukraine thing is Google preventing download.
I have Forscan on an old phone that works, but not my tablet.

Any ideas Forscan or the wider community?
I notice somebody else is having similar problems.

This seems to be a Google Play market problem, not a FORScan problem. You may try to install using this instruction of Google:

Also when I checked the car using a mobile phone with Forscan on I got this message, it has worked ok in the past.

A phone with an out of date sim card working as a miniature tablet works fine.
I will follow your Google instructions and see if I am successfull. Thank you.

Managed to download,I had disabled the Play Store as it's not something I use.
Took it to the car and I think it was too hot for the tablet as the screen went black, the tablet was having a bit of a problem connecting, or not seeing the OBD, yet it was connected in WiFi.
Will try when cooler and my tablet comes to life.
So far so good.

Been using this OBD from Tracklife since I have had Forscan and both have performed as expected.
Can Forscan shed any light on the reason for this notice?
I believe somebody else mentioned something similar.
