I did see this link to a ELM327 on this forum: http://www.totalcardiagnostics.com/shop ... 2-scantool

The prices are very similar, just wondering which one is better for Forscan on a Windows PC and being used on a 2000 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke diesel dually.

I already bought a china one and it works, but Forscan gives a fault code "clone"

This one works perfectly.....good price as well. I have purchased it and used it, and confirm that it works.

Just bought one assuming it was... 2017 Ford Escape. Reads modules fine, connects fine, but cannot reliably connect to MS-CAN and program central car configuration. Speed shown seems to vary significantly from connection attempt to connection attempt - sometimes in excellent range, sometimes good, sometimes poor. Sometimes when attempting to load CCC, gives error about poor quality adapter. Foolishly, I tried again after reconnecting, and got:

Central configuration (Main) has been started
Read configuration from primary module...
Loading SBL to primary module...
Loading block 1/6...
Operation failed, retrying...
Operation failed, retrying...
Operation failed, retrying...
Operation failed, retrying...
Operation failed, retrying...
Loading SBL failed
Service procedure has been interrupted

Sooo, hopefully everything still works. Just ordered an ELM327 adapter with switch from elm-327.eu - hopefully that works properly.

Hi people. I need an interface for my 2001 Mazda 323F BJ 2.0 VDTD . For what I read in this thread, I think some of this should work, can anyone please confirm?

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B00OXX ... EMAP3&th=1

https://www.amazon.es/dp/B01B4EBYSM?psc=1

https://www.amazon.es/Vgate-Bluetooth-a ... gate+icar3

Also, are the BT adaptors fully compatible with the PC version or do I need an USB adaptor for that?

EDIT: bought the first one, seems to work OK.

FORScan wrote:Basic recommendations are:
1. ODBLink MX (expensive solution), or may be cheaper alternative that use STN1170/STN2120 family (ELS27, Viaken etc...)
2. J2534 (expensive solution, also majority have no MS-CAN support and BT interface, so only applicable for Windows version) - CanTieCar, VCMII etc
3. iCar v1/iCar v2 (not v3) - cheap, but no MS-CAN support (that may be necessary for vehicles after 2004)
4. Special "Ford" adapters with mechanical HS/MS CAN switch (still no guarantee it will work stable), but NOT F-Super
5. ...?
Could you please explain why not F-Super? Would http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-USB-F-Su ... 1802819528 work with Forscan?

F-Super is not based on ELM327, It is also not compatible with ELM327.
There is a device out there that is called "F-Super2" that has some features of ELM327 but does not support all protocols. F-Super 2 might work with FORScan but also may fail in some situations.

I just bought this one, working perfect on my 2013 Edge (both HS and MS). I just disabled BLISS as I had a bad module (useless feature for me anyway)
