FORScan not detecting IPC Module

Post by jrcochranusa »

Hello,

Fairly new to this. Running FORScan 2.3.28 with a CREACLE OBD2 USB Device ELM327.

I can connect to my 2015 Ford F150 2.7, but I am not seeing a IPC module... just others.

Trying to turn on the Electyronic Trailer Brake Controller.

Thanks,

I figured it out. I needed to toggle the switch on my device to read the other modules.

Thanks,

HS-CAN / MS-CAN Switch

Is your Car a BF ?

I know the BA will not show MS ... Only HS

Open it and see if pin 3 and 11 are connected (Medium Speed CAN).
That would tell you if "it's auto switch".
Never seen an ELM327 auto switch.

Pin 6 and 14 are the High Speed CAN

A switched version looks like this.

Hello, I’m still having issues with being able to see IPC Module. I’ve tried using both switches and neither will show me IPC. Any ideas on what I can do? Also trying to get trailer brake control.

Thanks,

Nico

1) What type of cable are you attempting to connect with?
2) Does it have a switch or does it "auto switch"? A real Auto switch is a J2534-2 device or OBDLink MX+
3) Did you place the switch in the correct position before connecting to the vehicle?
4) Did you clear all saved profiles?

First off: THERE IS NO NEED to shout as it will not get you help any faster!!

Open the Gear Icon and open the Connection tab. set the connections as per the Attached screen.

Then connect to the car with the switch in HSCAN and go to the profile tab and delete any profiles listed and disconnect from the car. Reconnect and Forscan should prompt you for the MSCAN switch and flip the switch to MSCAN and the module tree should then be read and both module trees should be in the modules tab under the Car Icon!

See if that works!
