how can i implement automatically close sunroof

Post by noah.xiang » Fri May 24, 2019 6:46 am

as you know, by default, if click lock car button, it only lock the car. and if you want close all of window include sunroof and sun-shading board, you have to hold the lock button more than 3 seconds. so my question is how to change the settings through Forscan to :
1, automatically close all of window include sunroof when i click lock button one time?
2, if 1 can't , can i implement that don't close sun-shading board only close all windows and sunroof when i hold the lock button seconds?

thank you very much

Unless your car is different from my 2016 Fusion Titanium I don't think there is a way to get the sunshade to close automaticlly.
Here are the address locations to enable/disable universal open/close features, remember this data is for a 2016 Fusion so your mileage may vary:

Global Windows Remote Close:
726-17-01 (2014+ MY) xXxX xXxX xXxx
(BdyCM) 0101 0101 014A (Enabled - Default)
0000 0000 0045 (Disabled)

Global Windows Remote Open:
726-17-02 (2014+ MY) xXxX xXxX xXxx
(BdyCM) 0101 0101 014B (Enabled - Default)
0000 0000 0046 (Disabled)

Sunroof Comfort Vent Closure:
740/741-05-01 (2013-2016 MY) xxXx xx
(DDM/PDM) 0 (Disabled - Default)
4 (Enabled)

The sun shade isn't physically attached to the sun roof.
When you open it, a piece of plastic on the sun roof rails pushes on another plastic piece on the top of the shade to open it.
Hence the reason that you can close the shade with the sun roof open.

So is there a way to close the sunroof shade and vent the sunroof at the same time?

What is the sunroof comfort vent? Is that if the sunroof is just tilted up and not slid open, or does that just mean sunroof and it will close whether it’s tilted up or slid back?

Sorry for the delayed response as I just don't come here that often anymore.
Yes the comfort vent is when the sun roof is just tilted up at the rear. In this configuration you can close the sun shade if you want. The sunshade is strictly a manual operation and cannot be closed by any other means.
