how to release the automatic closing of the side mirrors. kuga 2017

Post by epry » Wed Mar 13, 2019 6:12 pm

hi I would like to know if it is possible to automatically unlock the side mirrors using ford scan?
every time you close the car they close automatically, but in case of heavy snowfall I have to pay attention to clean them carefully before opening the car, so to avoid this I would like to disable the automatic function and decide whether to close them by pressing the button. or not.

is it possible to do it with fordscan? is where should I change?

sorry if my english is from 0

I Came across this problem on a Focus and there was no configuration options with IDS to disable the function.(CCF not editable field)
We ended up interupting the power to the folding motors and switched their function manually.
It needs to be done to prevent damage when the mirror is frozen solid.
It may be that you could downgrade the BCM by modifying the As-Built data and re-programming
good luck

Do you not have a manual over ride along side your window openers on the drivers door? All you do is disable autofold/unfold and just do it manuall from the door panel?

ok guys but i'd like to figure out where to get this cable out of the way.
if someone is more precise in the description to tell where the cable is and what color it is I can put a manual switch where to enable is disable the automatic closure

Hi,

- Ignition on
- Retract mirrors at the push of a button
- unfold the mirrors by hand
- Switch off the ignition again
- they are already deactivated

  Activate everything in reverse.
