2019 F250 6.2 XLT programming needs

Post by dmccarley1979 » Mon Mar 11, 2019 8:39 pm

Purchased in December.

1. I took it to the dealer (prior to my knowledge of FORScan) to have remote start added. They messed with it for 7 hours on a Saturday and finally got something programmed that uses my original key fob. I just press Lock-Unlock-Lock and the truck starts. I can only assume as to what they programmed, but FORScan revealed the remote start system is now activated. Not sure about the remote. One thing I wish is that the parking lights were on while the truck was running in remote start mode. I can't hear it start sometimes and dont know if its running.

Also would like to know if I could get these keyfobs (https://www.carandtruckremotes.com/2019 ... p-key.html) to work.

2. Would like to know if there is some way to program the 3rd brake light camera to work while driving. Sometimes I have contents that I like to visually keep an eye on.

3. I would like to completely disable the alarm system. This thing is so sensitive that thunder, loud exhausts, doors shutting in the next parking spot, etc... set it off regularly. It's annoying.

Thanks in advance.

Do you know how they got that Lock-Unlock-lock to do the remote start?

As for the parking lights, in Forscan it's under the BdyCM module configuration

No I do not know what they did. After 7 hours I was ready to go and didn’t really care if it worked or not.

can you give me a list of each change you make in the programming so I can double check them in mine. Also not sure if there is a way to provide you with a download of my current configuration so you might be able to find the change they did regarding the remotes, but I would do that if someone would tell me how.

Lastly, do you know if the factory remotes with remote start button can be programmed. my dealer told me that it was impossible. At first they were trying to sell me the separate "old school" key fob that was just for remote starting, until they figured out how to use my factory remotes.

I'll be trying to add the remote start with stock keys. I'll let you know if it works.

As for the dealer saying it can't be done, I don't believe them. I was told putting stock cruise control on my 2019 f350 wasn't possible, I just did it yesterday.

Running FORScan enter BCM configuration (non asbuilt) scroll up or down and edit each required item ,at end of all items hit write . BUT MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE FILE BEFORE ANY CHANGES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do the same for IPCM (cluster)

I am installing different steering wheels on 2 F350's and was wondering what changes I need to make to enable Cruise control?
