Blend Door Actuator
Hey guys new to the site and just happened to stumble across this software from a YouTube video. I had a question with the Forscan software for the laptop does it give you the ability to actually cause a blend door actuator to move for you while your trouble shooting the HVAC system of a car? I heard from one video the guy says that you can actually trigger the AC compressor and I few other things with the software and I was just wondering about the Blend door.
Re: Blend Door Actuator
I don't believe you can use ForScan to start of stop something in the truck, but again I could be wrong as I am pretty new to using ForScan also. Someone else should chime in.

I believe the HVAC test assuming it's available for your car will test the blower and the blend door actuator. I ran an HVAC test on my car and I heard something activate within the vents to include the blower.

Ok thanks for your reply also can I ask you what ODB2 connector your using your Forscan program I was looking into getting the ELM327 with the toggle switch. Have you used this one? If you could just give me a good idea of one to Buy that has been tested and works with the program well

I invested in two USB adapters to have two different chipsets, just in case one didn't work correctly.Zackyboy239 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 12:12 pmOk thanks for your reply also can I ask you what ODB2 connector your using your Forscan program I was looking into getting the ELM327 with the toggle switch. Both work fine in my testing with my 2 cars, however I tend to use the <<bbfly-BF32302 USB modified FTDI chip>> because it seems to work a little faster with communication between my laptop and OBD.
You can also read more on these type adapters via the following link: https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6142
