Disable tire pressure sensor

Post by bdube » Wed Jun 06, 2018 2:15 am

I have a 2013 Ford F-150 and continually have a problem on long trips of the tire pressure sensor going off. All the sensors have been reset several times and driving locally it never goes off. I have hydrogen in my tires which is supposed to be more stable to temperatures than air. I used a USB plug in module and went to IPC- Instrument Panel control module and ran that and only get 3 options. fuel tank, fuel tank capacity and trailer brake control gain setting. On various videos I have seen to disable these annoying sensors, that is where it should be, but I am at a loss. Program runs fine, OBDII connector seems to be working fine. I check my tires on a regular basis and I understand the reason for the federal regulation, but there should be someway to disable this and as I stated, on a 2016 F-150, this works. I have basic Ford Sync version 4.4. Don't understand why FORScan asks for it but it does and and asks if I have Sync 1,2 or 3. I have ran the program using Sync 1 and Sync 2 and get the same results under the IPC Module Configuration. I am new to this program and using the OBDII module but everything I can see and using my logic, not education on, is correct and working. So any ideas you can throw my way would be appreciated.

Re, I have hydrogen in my tires which is supposed to be more stable to temperatures than air.

Hydrogen was the Gas used in Airships !!

You mean Nitrogen Gas !!

Have a look at this :

Also see if this is of any help ...

Thank you for the correction on the gas and I do know the difference, just a brain fart. And also for the links on the device. I had found that before I had come across the FORScan software and OBDII plug in module. And while I realize that car manufacturers continually upgrade their electronics, I would have thought that if you can access the settings on a 2016, you should also be able to access the same settings on a 2013. It seems my logic was once more flawed. But thank you for replying, the correction and the links.
