Post by bully1996 » Tue Oct 31, 2017 3:52 pm

Hello,

I havn an Ford transit custom 2014, with stock Sync1 , Navi, PDC.
Now i want to install an OEM camera.
I bought an camera and an Camera Connection Cable for Ford Cars with Sync 1 Monitors from (https://car-solutions.com/en/camera-con ... nitors.php)

Installed the camera and connect the cable with the camera and the sync.
Now i try to aneble the rear camera with Forscan.

I checked the forum and a lot of another video's and sites.
But i do not work.

APIM info of my van;
7D0-01-01 11BF 8940 0173

I tryed to change this into;
7D0-01-01 1ABF 8940 0173
7D0-01-01 1BBF 8940 0173
7D0-01-01 12BF 8940 0173
7D0-01-01 13BF 8940 0173
when i change it get the same problem, when i put the van in reverse i do not see any difference in the screen and get an massage.
Emergency Assistance not active go to the dealer.

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

Regards Marco

Did you ever manage to resolve this?

I see in forscan the option for park assist camera it dose say N/A after it

I can change the setting, there is even the one for the mirror with the display ( I have the sat nav)

But it dose not activate the camera

I was able to figure it out... by changing some characters on the FCDIM module.. this is what I changed if anyone needs it..
FCDIM module configuration (as built)
ORIGINALLY HAD
7A5-0101 012A 680E 004F

NEW
7A5-01-01 032A 600E 004F

I have a 2015 ford transit connect.. but I believe it will work on any sync1.. I was also able to figure out how to tap into the stock wiring to add a female RCA for an after market camera (if anyone needs this let me know I can add some pictures).. I literally spend $16 dollars on eBay and I got my camera showing up on the stock sync 1 screen...
here is the video of what I did and how it works... https://youtu.be/6ZTwHeQ2Iqg

I think the instructions for above is for the 4” display type where it’s adjusted in the fdcim.
On the Fiesta with 5” nav, it’s a simple change option in body control module, to “with park assist camera” and wait a while for it to take place.
I’ve tried this on the transit with 5” nav but it doesn’t seem to work the same.
Does anyone know which line in apim to get it to work? I don’t think it’s the same as sync2/3 first line adjustment as I tried that too.

How do you get to the APIM to swap it out please? I can see it is behind the airbag, but doesn't look obvious as to how to get at it.
