Global window

Post by don m »

Hi l am trying to us the easy (English) version to do global window do you still make changes in multiple modules ?
I’ve been looking through each of the modules and I notice that global Windows shows up in several modules so I was wondering if you had to enable it in all of Them.
Thanks

From my understanding is you have to enable them all. Please post your year and model so we can have a better understanding of how to help.
Global windows up/down were standard on my 2016 Fusion Titanium.

It could be available in the door modules, as the same modules are likely used on several trim levels, but before you enable it, check that all window switches have the one touch up and one touch down option as that, to my understanding is, the Window regulator hardware necessary in all the windows not just the Drivers window and switch, to operate globally and missing hardware may be the reason it was disabled.

It is a 2020 f150 xlt.
Only the front window are one touch but it lists 5 options , so one and two would be the front driver and passenger window?

That would seem to be logical providing the passenger window is also one touch! The other three options would be the rear windows and a sun roof if the truck has one with one touch opening hardware. This module is very likely used on higher trim levels that have all the required hardware and they just disable it on lower trim levels that do not have the hardware.

Enable them one at a time and try them until you get errors and then disable again the ones that give errors!
