2015 Fiesta Ecoboost RCM config problems

Post by premotrepairs » Thu Feb 13, 2020 10:35 pm

I have U2300:55-8b in the RCM plus airbag light and U2101:00-0f in FCDIM .
I have obtained the as built data from the Vin which matches the data in the RCM.
I have tried and failed to sort this issue using Forscan, Ford IDS and Launch x431.
Anyone have any idea how to solve this.

with ids you need to go threw the install new module process as it programs the RCM and other modules that it talks to , as their is other data in the module which you dont see.
i am the same as you just a forscan user still learning .
The search function is there for a reason use it.

Thanks for the reply, I have gone through the install new module procedure but still no good.
Tried every possible option.
Launch has the ability to program and initialize the RCM but that does not work either.
Seems I may have to replace the RCM as I suspect IDS has corrupted it.

re the U2101:00-0f in FCDIM after a quick search seems to be a common problem but nothing to worry about unless vechile fails to raise correctly ?-
(source https://www.aulro.com/afvb/l319-discove ... ost2890200 - has another link to another topic init as well ).

as for the rcm , open forscan goto the as built for the rcm and fill all fields with 0 (zero) or F's ,write to module and turn off car for at least 30 secounds , (allow the car to goto sleep ) , then re run the install new module .( if you get a warning about incorrect check sum just click ok and forscan will correct it then write to module)
