Writing changes to ACM

Post by rdvil » Thu Jan 23, 2020 7:31 pm

Hi,

I have a Fiesta mk8 (build date 24.10.2019) and I'm trying to disable the engine sound enhancement.
I can connect to, but cannot write the change into the audio control module.
Here's what the log shows:
acm_failed.png
acm_failed.png (173.32 KiB) Viewed 484 times
As built shows only 10 blocks, does this mean the #60931 isn't supported? Or is there something else I might be missing?
Tried with aux power on, engine on, and power off. Always the same result.

Well for some reason my Fiesta and Forscans ready-made menu didn't agree with each other at all.
Comparing As builts of different models, tried modifying value 5 from block 7 and that did the trick.

Last night, I tried to disable Engine Sound Enhancement for 4 Fiesta ST Mk8 cars.
It worked on 2 of them, for the other 2 the aforementioned error showed up (Service procedure has been interrupted) with no visible change to the ACM configuration (checked afterwards). What's wrong here?
I can post more information about the 4 cars later on.

Please PM VINs of the cars or (better) debug information if possible.

To disable fake engine noise, you must change block 7 line 5 from 0000 0200 00 3C to 0000 0000 00 3A in the As built -setup.
I imagine this is the same block that gets modified in the quick setup, because the standard value was the same in an older ST that I found a VIN for, and standard value for a Vignale is the 'off' value.
