Configuration and Programming

Post by Blowe18raptor » Thu Jan 23, 2020 2:44 pm

I am in the process of using Forscan to update the following items on my 2018 F150 Raptor:

**disable double horn honk while running
**addition of seat climate controls to home screen
**adding temp reading above gauge cluster (trans and engine temp)

I performed the updates and they appear to be working fine however if I want to remove the temp readouts above the gauges like it was originally how do I do that? I thought I backed up the module prior to making the change however the .txt file that was saved does not show the hexagonal numbers. In addition when I pull up the configuration screen it shows duplicate modules for example:

BCM (as built)
BCM

If you use the top "as-built" module you have to program using numbers or characters as shown in the spreadsheet. If you program via the bottom "BCM" it allows you to simply click "enable" or "disable" when removing double horn honk. What is the difference between the two options and does it matter which one is used?

Thanks for any help or insight you may be able to provide!

Thats a good question that I dont know the answer to.

Possibly you could save original settings and try it?
If it doesnt work install originals and follow the sheet.I just did this today and the sheet I got did work changing both settings....
