08 Ford Mustang Bcm reprogramming

Post by h24 » Thu Dec 19, 2019 1:31 am

Hello, I was inquiring if I can delete codes from a 08 Ford Bcm. I have a early 50's Pickup with a 08 Ford Mustang 4.7l engine/trans swap with the factory Mustang gauge cluster installed. Problem is the factory gauge cluster is reporting all body error codes. Driver door open, passenger door open, hood/trunk open, abs, traction control, etc. I was hoping with Forscan that I can shunt or delete the error codes in the Bcm. Does anybody know if this is possible?

Did you actually install the SJB (bcm) from the donor?

You may be able to program the cluster itself and turn those warning lights off there. I upgraded my cluster and was able to turn off the ABS and Traction control lights in the cluster. (I dont have abs)

Experimented with modifying the cluster itself. You get a warning light if there is an issue with say, the abs, OR the car does not have ABS (like mine), but the cluster is configured for "car has ABS". Save the original config first ;)
