Crown VIC 2009 - Phone Consultation - I'm paying

Post by JasonCrownVic » Sat Nov 23, 2019 3:04 pm

I would like someone to help me through programing the computer modules on my 2009 Crown Vic P71. Ideally I'd pay them to walk me through it on the phone. I think think $100 would be fair for both of us if it takes us under and hour. I'm willing to may more if it's complicated and you're able to make ALL the mods I'd like.

What I'm trying to change:

1. Turn off Indicator light for TPMS in the Instrument cluster.
2. Activate the Cruise Control in the PCM - steering wheel is already installed.
3. Active Keyless Entry - I bought cheap wireless Fobs
4. Change "Programable" setting for axle ratio and tire size - if possible add custom sizes
5. if it's possible to turn off the seat belt chime

I currently have the software licensed and am able to connect and read/write all modules. I'm made some setting changes that were are options in ForScan; I'm just uncomfortable making changes in the "As Manufactured" sections with Hex and checkSum values.

I guess I'm going to buy the VCM II and IDS software. Does anyone want to go in with me? The more of us to go in on it the less we each pay to use it. Maybe after we all use it we can sell it again.

I broke down and bought a used VCM II last night for a great price of $400 .. I am going to buy the real software subscription for IDS after I receive it. If anyone wants to go in with me maybe we could share it?

1 tpms, is usually in the BCM
2 cruise is a pcm configuration
3 your car may not have the keyless entry module in the left front door.
4 again, pcm configuration, is possible on some models with Forscan.
5 belt chime can be disabled without a scan tool. Look in the owner's manual.

Let me know how the real ids works out. I have the clone and it does work for some things.
