Do you think it is a restriction linked to the engine of the EcoBlue or does it depend on a simple future update of Forscan?

What did you change on your Kuga for 180bhp?

I've got a 2015 150bhp model with the DW10F engine and have been looking at doing the change.

Hey guys,
I have changed successfully power rating 2 to power rating 3 some time ago. Later I visited Ford service for a steering bolts recall. They looked up my VIN and also said they will run a PCM update also as a recall. After that I felt that they switched the power back to 150HP but I couldn't complain to them since I've done it myself. So I decided to connect FORScan again and change to Power Rating 3 but I see that it's already set to Power Rating 3, the ABS module changes are in place just as was previously but the power is lost. It feels like 150HP again, the moment I rode off Ford service I noticed that the car is not as dynamic as it was set to 180HP.
Do you think they have somehow "locked" the ability to ramp up the power? What should I do?

What are the ABS and TCM values for a 2.0 TDCI powershift 150 to 180 hp?
I still don't see everyone updating the TCM module. and does the ABS module needs to be reset?

Hi Guys,

I changed 150hp to 180hp on my Mondeo MK5 Powershift and you really can feel difference :) And fuel consumption went from 8l/100km to 6l/100km (but I will have to drive more to confirm this)

Everything was done with watching polish guy (that I don't understand) and doing what he does hahaha

Here is videos:

(Check out his channel he has a lost mk5 mods)

He even dyno the car for a proof:

Did you also changes the TCM module for the powershift?

He may have figured out what I did when I upgraded my sync 1 unit to sync 2 but I am not 100%.

It would have been nice for @Caldiske to have shared his info. When he does I will share information on TCM setting.

So i still cant find a clear awnser if abs en tcm is mandatory for this upgrade on the powershift version. And are there any longterm results already?

There is advice in this thread to change the ABS and TCM. I think posted by Fordmax471. My guess is the ABS change is to allow for the additional power for the tractions control system which works off the ABS module. The additional power will also affect how the powershift gearbox is designed to work or so I would have thought.

I checked a few asbuilt files of 150PS Kuga's compared with 150PS Kuga's. Only difference was one digit change on the ABS and a couple of digits if I remember correctly on the PCM. Apart from the blocks which relate to the VIN number all of the PCM and ABS asbuilt blocks were the same for ALL of the 180PS cars and All of the blocks had the same setting for the 150PS cars.

In summary the only difference between the 150 and 180 PS is a couple of changes to the blocks. I haven't tried it on my 150PS Kuga yet.
