Sync 2 version question

Post by denniskramer » Sat Oct 26, 2019 8:32 pm

My sync 2 version is 3.10.16180.EA.0
I'm in North America and wonder if this version is for Europe? Having issues enabling navigation.
Thanks

Version is correct. Those are the same as my 3.10 NA (North America).
You need the updated Navigation app here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/window ... 080/page94 Post 936 Riochim's file. Use only the 3.10 file extracted to a USB. Usb should only have Syncmyride folder and Instal.lst (2 entries) on it.

And you need the naviptach.png file post 1257 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/window ... 80/page126.

Hi I'm from england, I've added navipatch and changed the numbers on forscan and it now says insert sd card but ive entered 2 and got no where, it doesnt even say it's a bad card or anything.

I've tried music sd cards they work fine, but I dont see anything regarding any nav software, do i need to upload any software also?

I'm on 3.08 at the moment..

So just to double check before I try it for the first time. I’ve never had nav on my ‘15 explorer with sync 2. My version is 3.10. I need to turn on nav with forscan, then download rioachim’s nav app file but only put the 3.10 (consisting of 2 files mentioned) on usb drive and install it to vehicle. Then install the navipatch png file per instructions and have map card ready to install? I’m not quite understanding if all of rioachims file needs put on usb or just portion pertaining to 3.10. One other question. I have the instructions on how to install the navipatch png file but what about rioachims file. Do I just connect the usb to the vehicle and it will auto install? Thanks

Just the two files pertaining to version 3.10. It should be the SyncMyRide Folder and the Install.lst file. Just put the USB stick in and it should load automatically - key on or running.

Just finished and install went well. I remember there’s a way to do it with forscan, how do you get the navigation option to show up on the IPC display with the phone and entertainment options instead of the compass option? Thanks
