Sat nav

Post by Daviem1975 » Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:34 am

Hi there i ve just bought the grand cmax titanium x 2016 1,5 tdci with sync 2 which i love. I think it has the gps module because it displays the compass and it can tell the coordinates of where i am. I have seen various posts on the web showing how to get sat nav working but they all show for version 3.08, mines is version 4.32. Can any hone please tell me what software i will need and where to get it. (Should say I’m in the uk ) i have the forscan odd device.

Thanks for any help

Start here by reading this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/window ... 0-t3484473.
Sync ver 3.08 is newer than your 4.32 and is required to be able to enable Navigation.

Cool thanks for the reply the post you showed is for the North America Region. I'm in the UK will it make a difference or should I look for the UK 3.08

thanks so much for your help

navigation is turned on with no problems,i used the latest forscan beta. when i ran the config there was a section for navigation which said disabled so i enabled it and pressed write. then applied navipatch and away it went. so easy once you get started.
my original confusion was that mines was version 4 thinking that would be a new version that 3 especially since the garage said they had updated the program. but all done now and really happy so thanks again

In the new Forscans you don't have to enter the 4 so that simplifies things. Glad it worked for you. Sync 2 version 3.10 is newer yet and this works with it, so if you want you could update to that. Make sure it's the Euro one and has your language pack. Post 937 here has your new Sync Ver 3.10 for your location: https://forum.xda-developers.com/window ... 080/page94

Is there any major changes in 3 10 that would make it worth upgrading.

Some minor changes to connectivity for the i-phone and I believe a few others. It's an option to update to 3.10 but not necessary if things are working at 3.08. Don't know enough to say it's worthwhile, but I have mine at 3.10.
