BLUE OVAL SPLASH SCREEN WITH LINCOLN THEME.

Post by k5rcd » Sun Aug 18, 2019 11:59 pm

2018 F 150 Synch 3.

I changed my theme to the Lincoln Timeless Gold theme using 7D0-03-01 xxxx x2xx xxxx & 7D0-01-02 8xxx xxxx xxxx
That changed the theme as I wanted but the splash screen also changed itself to "LINCOLN". I would like to go back to the Ford blue oval splash screen and keep the Lincoln theme.

I read somewhere on this forum that it is supposedly possible to change just the splash screen to the blue oval, while keeping the Lincoln theme, but was unable to get it to change. Is it possible? If so, what is the value(s) that needs to be changed?

I tried it in APIM 7DO-02-01 changing it to xxxx 0106 xxxx as I saw on the forum (can't remember exactly where), but it kept the Lincoln splash screen.

Does anybody know the value(s) I need to use (if it's even possible).

Thanks

Try removing just the 8 in 7D0-01-02 and leave the other one. See if that works.

Thanks for the link. I went there and followed Thomas Ds advice. I was still unable to change splash screen to blue oval . It keeps reverting to Lincoln splash screen at startup. I was however able to eliminate the start up splash screen entirely and go direct to the working screen It still has the Lincoln splash briefly at shutdown, but that's OK by me. I just don't like the Lincoln splash at startup. I don't know why, maybe because my wife had a Town Car years ago that I really didn't like.

The setup I am using now with no splash sceen is:
7D0-02-01 ------ 5553 0103 C44A

I spoke too soon. After shutting down the vehicle entirely, turning it off, locking the doors then unlocking doors and starting vehicle, the splash screen is back, still in Lincoln configuration. It's too complicated for me I guess, I'll just leave it as it is.

I just had similar but opposite experience with a Ford Flex. I wanted to change to Lincoln theme. It reverted after I shutoff 2nd time and locked doors back to Ford theme and splash screen. I thought I hadn't saved properly. I am going to read further.

I just watched this and the user says don;t put push button to ON but rather into ACCESSORY mode for programming.
I will try that later today. I assumed ON mode in ForScan meant ON and not ACCESSORY mode. My for error for thinking literally.
Will report back.
