How to write TPMS Sensor ID into car?

Post by accent2010 »

My car cant relearn a new TPMS sensor but that sensor has no issue. Confirmed with with my AUTEL scan tools and another vehicle. Does Forscan has a function that I can update the TPMS Sensor directly without going through the relearn?

if its a new sensor to the car then you have to do a relearn ,its like asking the car to use a new key without it been cut for the car ....
i am the same as you just a forscan user still learning .
The search function is there for a reason use it.

Yes, you need to re-learn it again (Tool required)

For my Fusion I can enter the Sensor IDs in the BdyCmd module - search for TPM* in the settings.
I still need the Autel tool to trigger the sensors after writing the new IDs but before writing them the car doesn't recognize them in the re-learn procedure. After writing them, the re-learn works well.
Interesting side effect (again, for a 2nd gen Fusion) is that the interior lights mis-behave in the time between writing the codes and completing the re-learn with the tire tool. No error codes but the lights stay on or come on over and over as if a door gets opened until the car recognizes the new sensors.
