Post by Motor Surgeons » Wed Aug 14, 2019 7:01 am

Hi Guys

My first post here and looking for some direction.

I have a Ford Transit with a Blown PCM and wish to replace it with a used one from a breakers. Is that possible and what is the procedure?

ECU Part Number is AC11 12A650 BA

2010 2.2 FWD.

Many thanks in advance.

Not too dificult. You need extended license to start with. Fit the new ecu programme keys after deleting any old keys left on new ecu. The only problem is vin. You cannot change this with forscan, as far as i know.

Thanks Denbo

I have the Extended Licence.

So will I need to buy new transponder Chips for keys ?

One more thing, I have searched high and low for a PCM with the same part number however every one I find is from a 2.4 RWD, Mine is a 2.2 FWD. Will that be an issue.

Thanks for any help

you don't need new transponders plus the key data is held in the bcm not the Pcm
