Remark: dtc P2458-21 possible cause -"check the PCM for the latest calibration" what does that mean?
This means you should check if you PCM has latest firmware. This is actually 2 tasks:
- check if the calibration is latest one, if not - find latest one
- if newer ones is available, reflash PCM with new one.

Ford IDS (dealership scanner) can do both tasks. FORScan cannot do any of them yet. First one will be added in one of nearest version, as for the second one, we are not sure when it will be added.
mx-user wrote: "Check that the pre and the post-catalyst sensors are operating correctly" here i know only the PID DPF Temperature.
What are the PID names of the pre and the post-catalyst sensors?
These PIDs, if available may be named EGT and/or CATEMP 11, CATEMP 12, CATEMP 21 etc.

Her I have obvious a problem of understanding.
If I select e.g. PCM and than CANVP , how I confirm my selection?

Thanks in advance for help to Item 4 and 5
When you added some PIDs, you should tap on back button to return to the previous screen. The profile will be saved at the moment of transition.

Thanks for your feedback, please look below///

- It should be possible to customize the PDI graphics (color, minimum and maximum range).
Min/max range - yes, we are going to add that... but how do you want to customize color (make the same color for all gauges or set an individual color for every graph or...)?
carlus wrote: - Should an alarm to be included if a given PID reach a certain value. This point is very important as it has always interested me know when it is producing a regerenación the DPF and now could have the phone with the screen off (not consume much battery) and forscan notify me with an alarm when a PID I indicated that this remains a regeneration.
This seems to be a desirable feature for many users, although must say this is some kind out of current design, because application is designed to work in foreground mainly. Yes, it works in background, but Android OS (according to the development documentation) may kill it any time just to release some resources for another application or for some other need. In order to make it more reliable, application has to be implemented as a service, this is not a big deal but something we planned to implement on next stage.
carlus wrote: - A PID may be the GPS coordinate, because with this could know the exact position in which drive of the PIDS values were obtained
OK
carlus wrote: - Should be able to change the recording frequency values PIDS. For example, I'm recording 15 PIDS at a frequency of 30 per second. This makes a very large CSV file is generated and sometimes not be interested me such a high frequency, and I'd opt for frequencies of 1 per second about, eg when doing long trips.
OK

Thanks for the quick response.

Back button of the Android System?
In the App Forscan Lite I can't see a Back button.
In the "Dashoard" I select and get "Add PID" afterwards "PID Details" . Tip Back button of the Android System, I come back to the Dashboard and nothing else happens.
I testet it with "B+ Battewry Positve Voltage"

Config:
Phone: Samsung Galaxy S4 (Android 4.4.2)
OBD adapter: China BT clone without switch
Car: Ford Fusion Hybrid (2010) with 2.5L

I first tried version 0.9.0 and got "No ELM found. Please check connection and try again." but then noticed you had a new version 0.9.3. Installed it and connected first time using Bluetooth 0

App is easy to use and I did not notice any bugs. Thanks for developing it!

First post in this Thread...
* Only Android v4.1 and newer devices are supported. We do not plan yet to support older versions (in our opinion, amount of such devices is already insignificant)
Unfortunately i have only such insignificant devices at the moment. Phone with Android 2.3, tablet with 2.3, tablet nr 2 with 4.0. First tablet can be updated to 4.1.1 but since the manufacturer is gone the update is not available anymore. :(

Maybe i´ll try Android x86 installing on external memory on my notebook.

Back button - standard Back button at the bottom built-in menu in any Android device we saw. Also Home button (upper left corner) has the same function on many screens,

As for adding the PID:

1. Connect to vehicle -> go to Table, Dashboard or Graph -> Press Setup button (gear icon).

2. You are now in the PID profile view. Press Add Pid button to add parameters.

3. You are now in Add PID view . At the left side of every row you should see an empy checkbox. Tape on it and the row will be marked as checked (selected). Select all PIDs you need, use filter/search box for quick finding PIDs. Press Back button and you should be back in the PID profile view.

4. In PID profile you should see PIDs you selected. You can edit the profile by removing PIDs (left icon at every row) or change order of PIDs by long tapping a row and drag&drop it. You can also save or load your profile

5. Press back again and you are in Dashboard with PIDs selected.

This workflow is for phone, for a tablet the navigation logic is a bit different: instead of Home button, on some pages you should see a navigation menu that makes you able to return back. Standard Android Back button works on tablets too.

Support of Android 4.0 is added in v0.9.4 (first post updated).

Android 2.* is too different and support it will cause additional technical expenses. Besides, these devices are usually quite slow. For now we do not plan to support it. Official statistics say it is only 7% of all Android devices (October 2014) and this share will obviosly decrease. We don't how many of our users own the 2.2-2.3 devices, if their share will be noticeable greater than the general stats, we may change our mind.

Cool, thanks for supporting 4.0. I´ll put the app on the tablet as soon as it is recharged. Last night the last electrons dropped out. ^^
