You may find more info on forums specific to your vehicle e.g. F150 forum etc. There are dozens of vehicles this forum tries to cover. Each one has it's own problems.

Keep reading and researching. All of your questions are answered in various forums and tutorials. We are stumped why you don't reach the same conclusion when you follow the instructions that worked for everyone else. None of us are experts at this stuff.

That's a good point. You will find that the ancillary modules (ACM, APIM etc) are very similar across vehicle models. The main modules (BCM, PCM etc) are much more vehicle specific.

Nice idea, but there are too many variants for this to be useful. Programming changes by model year. Some programming is country specific. In general, only vehicles that share platforms (e.g. Focus and Transit Connect) have any chance of being compatible.

Your vehicle is not common to those who monitor this forum. In general, if you aren't seeing some modules you probably have an inferior elm adapter. Vehicles with CC (and your extended license) will have the option to make changes using drop down menus (usually in the Body Com module). I am not fami...
