Re: Fuel Trim PID

Hi, My smax is smoking a bit mainly on hard acceleration. Oil levels are fine so I wanted to check the fuel trim to see if it is running rich. I plugged in the OBD and ran FORScan but I can't find and PID for fuel trim in the PCM module. Is this correct? Parameters I was looking for were longft and...

Re: EGR throttle position

Ford call it an inlet air shut off throttle. I have monitored the egrtpv on my car and it sits at 4.4 v, the only time it moves is when I switch the car off, it drops to 1.4 v for about half a second then returns to 4.4v.I assume thats it closing the valve to prevent engine run on. I have also seen ...

Re: mondeo 2010 tdci

I think there should be one fuse F6 20 amp battery fuse box that feeds relay 4 battery fuse box. A resistance check on the glow plug should show 1 ohm if its good. The easiest way to tell if the glow plug is working would be to put an amp clamp around the power supply going to the plug to check for ...

Re: Need Help

The mk4 mondeo keeps a copy of the bcm in the instrument panel. Does Forscan have the option to copy it to a new bcm.

Re: pcm pids

Thanks for the reply, With coolant circulation being controlled on car now with bypass valves, shut off valves and thermostats it makes it more difficult to diagnose and understand how the system works, I was just curious to know if these pids existed, but I would not like it to interfere with new d...

pcm pids

I was wondering if Forscan had any plans to add more pid for the pcm on the mk4 mondeo or are all available pids already added.
The thermostat housing has a bypass solenoid valve and a shutoff valve to speed up engine warm up time. Is there any pids available for these.
thanks.

Re: Cold start - engine vibrations, changing RPM - what to c

egr behavior seems to have improved, after ecu has relearned hopefully it will stabilize as soon as it opens. My injectors are class 5 and i also thought about changing class number in ecu but was not sure if class 6 increased or decreased fuel supply and i think the difference between numbers would...

Re: Cold start - engine vibrations, changing RPM - what to c

The workshop manual gives 3 classifications for the injectors, 4,5,and 6,all injectors should be the same classification.
Cylinder 1 is on the gearbox side of engine so that is the cylinder with injector u .
