thinks for the reply, I am surprised the I was getting the value closed throttle when the car was at idle, I thought a would only see closed throttle when I switched the car off as the throttle valve is to prevent engine run on and shudder when engine switched off.

hi, the pid for intake air throttle position on my car gives a value (ct) when the car is at idle, a quick half snap of the accelerator and it changes to (pt) then back to (ct), a quick full snap of the accelerator and it changes to (wot) then back to (ct), I think the abbreviation (wot) is wide ope...

ok thanks, so the base settings that are programed to the pcm when a new erg is installed are safe, only the learned values after that are reset.

egr

hi I have a question regarding ( reset egr adaptations) for the mk4 mondeo, will this procedure clear the (kam) only or does it also clear the base settings that have to be entered into the pcm when the egr is first installed into the car.

hi, thanks for the reply and confirming my initial thoughts on the balance readings, car drives well apart from the cold start stall and random cutting out when approaching a stop junction with clutch in, I think my next move is a leak off test on injectors. thanks

hi big Jim when I got my cable it came with disks for drivers and software, I followed the instructions to load the software and drivers then when I downloaded forscan and tried to connect to car it connected ok, try that and see how you go.
