Re: 2009 crown victoria modules

I'm not familiar with your adapter, but my OBDLink MX automatically switches. It also has an STN series chipset, but I'm not 100% sure if it's the same as yours or not. Edit: OBDLink's website says it uses a modified STN1170 for better transmission speed. You should support MS-CAN out of the box. Tr...

Re: 2007 F150 Cruise Module Not Appearing

There are no programmable options for the PCM in the 2007 F-150 using FORScan. In addition, you won't be able to access some other modules including the Vehicle Security Module because FORScan does not support the UBP network. You'll need to use a VCM and Ford's IDS software to make any changes in t...

Re: 2009 crown victoria modules

You'll need to check that your ELM adapter is compatible with MS-CAN. On that network, you will have the Driver's Door Module (DDM), Lighting Control Module (LCM), and Climate Control Module if you have Automatic controls. All hardware is indeed identical from 2008 to 2011. Your DDM will have your R...

Re: Does rust converter affect rubber

I don't know what product you are using specifically, but I have found rust removers that claim to be safe on plastic and rubber. I would suggest putting some on an inconspicuous area to test before using it though.

Re: Speed lock

I can't find anything specific, but 105 is probably pretty close to your tires' speed rating and you probably don't wanna go faster than that.

Re: Need OBD-1 Adapter for 1994 Town Car

Afraid not. FORScan will only connect to 1996 and newer vehicles equipped with OBD-II. If you're looking for trouble codes, the OBD-I connector under the hood can be jumpered, and you can read flash codes from the check engine light. It's been a while since I had a pre-1996 car so I don't remember t...

Re: 2008-2011 Crown Vic Remote Keyless Enable/Disable

I found this diagnostic routine after googling that DTC. Pinpoint test N from this PDF might help you to track down your problem. You'll need a multimeter and you'll need to take various trim panels off to get to the test points, but if you follow this procedure, it should help you.

Re: Add Climate Icon to Screen for XL/XLT

I really hate that they don't change the hex to binary on that spreadsheet. Changing the hex without also looking at the binary can cause you to disable other features. /rant As for the modifications you have made, did you change only 7D0-01-02 or did you also change 7D0-01-01? It looks like BOTH of...

I hope they didn't charge you. You can also get it from the motorcraft website for free.

Re: Possible lane Keep Hands on wheel Alert

It is not. The message is integral to the system as a safety feature. Automatic lane keeping is not intended to replace an alert driver with their hands on the wheel.
