Re: Can I disable PATS on my 1999 Ford Explorer?

Forscan can access PCM for diagnostics only at this time. The PATS "switch" is in the calibration of the PCM "aka" the tune. So you need a tuner like SCT, HP tuners, or Diablosport WITH THE SOFTWARE. The handheld alone doesn't have access to disable it. Ps: the PCM configuration that became availabl...

Did you program PATS? Or just the keyless entry fobs?

Re: Programing mustang 2007

Not sure I understand the question exactly. But I can tell you that you will NOT be able to program the PCM. Only read/reset DTC's, run service tests, and reset. The SJB should show up under programming function, and give you two options for programming: Module programming, and Module programming "a...

Re: Mazda 6 alarm history

Can't help much with the Forscan portion, but in my past experience dealing with random alarm trips, most of the issues were due to one of the door switches going bad or getting moisture inside them.

Re: 2012 Econoline

I have a 2008 and after I put in LED headlamp bulbs, they were flickering on DRL. I was unable to find a way to disable DRL using Forscan. I ended up pulling one of the fuses (sorry, don't remember which) to disable DRL. A side effect of pulling that fuse was it also disabled the backup alarm perman...

Re: Changing TPMS tire pressure

A mechanic buddy of mine was telling me he has been seeing for vans come through the shop with E150 badges and 8 lug suspensions. It seems Ford "used up" inventory of the vans toward the end of the body change over to the new body style. So is this E150 and 8 lug van? My guess it is, and infact you ...

Anyone?
Look at the pic above. The test is under the "clipboard" looking tab in the left column.

Re: Can I perform: misfire monitor neutral profile correction?

I have not seen that test in Forscan when connected to my '13. Do you have an SCT tuner? That device has the "crank relearn" function and it WORKS RELIABLY. I've come across some threads on the net that stated even Ford IDS had issues with this function, and you end up with a "crank sensor not learn...
