Re: Auto closing windows function not working

MKS I think is just just Global Open. I know the MKX can do it. When I said that the Lincolns can do it, I made a mistake. Lincolns were the first of the ford vehicles to do any remote window function and most are just global open only (except for MKX which I have personally tested). Since the windo...

Re: Auto closing windows function not working

I have a 2011 MKX & it has global open from the factory for the front windows & vista roof. I am not getting the option to enable Global open with Forescan, anyone know which block enables it? Want to try if it works on my MKX. Also is it possible to make the global open function on the windows onl...

Re: Auto closing windows function not working

I'm pretty sure the Taurus model doesn't have Global Close just Global Open. The changes in forscan for Global Close don't do anything.

Only Lincolns, Focus, and Fusions have Global Close (as far as I know).

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering

sheltonfilms, thanks a lot for clarification. Well, I have downloaded ABD file, and tomorrow evening will try to upload it into vehicle, then revert here with results )). I just wonder how it could be upload separately for each module if there is one ABD file only. As an example, I choose ABS modul...

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering

Since you are using new modules the ABD for your vehicle must be uploaded to the new modules. You shouldn't have to manually enter them. Just goto https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt and download your ABD file and upload using Forscan. Should be able to go into each module and upload each one ...

Re: Ford MyKey Reset

Found this bit of information on motorcrafts website: "Please note that there is no electronic PIN code required to reprogram Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) keys for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles built in North America up through Model Year 2013. These North American Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehi...

Ford MyKey Reset

My friend has a 2011 Focus (USA) and when she bought the car it only came with one key. This key has been setup as a MyKey enabled key, so she has restrictions on her car and doesn't have an admin key. Is there a way using Forscan to reset this? Is there an ABD value that can be changed that disable...

Re: New CAN network compatibility

Thanks for that quick reply.

Yeah I just saw where the Fusion started this style network topology.

Sounds like the gateway module does the switching for you.

Do you know if you still have to install a switch (if using ELM327) since HS2 uses the same pins as the old MS-Can ones?

New CAN network compatibility

So even though I own a 2013 Explorer, I decided to get a wiring manual for a 2016 to see the differences in the electrical system. Instead of HS_CAN, MS_CAN and I_Can there are now these CAN networks: HS1-CAN (uses old HS-CAN pins on Data Link Connector) HS2-CAN (uses old MS-CAN pins on Data Link Co...

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering

Ok I see now (didn't notice the dashed box at first).

I know on my Explorer ABD cannot be changed for a PCM.

I really don't know if PCM has ABD or it is all in the tune they flash. Sounds to me like a tuner based mod. Best person to ask woudl be the Livernois guy.
