Re: tire pressure monitoring system (tpms)

Hello dusty In the 04 expedition there should be a line in the Instrument cluster module configuration that can be enabled to turn on or off TPMS or a line to enable as not equipped. That is how it is done in my 03 Expedition. In my case it was not equipped as the module harness was missing the modu...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hi Harold If your Ford DVD Has the diagrams for the computer data lines it should show any UBP bus modules connected to pin 3. you should be able to check for signal between pin 3 and pin 4 which is signal ground and/or 5 which is chassis ground and if you get signal then pin 3 is monitoring somethi...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hi Harold When you first posted I suspected you had one of the bad China clones or a bad one of the ELS27 adapter. I tried to order one from the Russian site but never got a response and because I have two vehicles with a pin 3 and no pin 11 which means UBP protocol modules, I opted for a Good quali...

Re: not running full program for diagnostic

Hello jksmith Unfortunately the adapter you have OBDLinkSX has no MSCAN support built in and the modules you are looking for are most likely on MSCAN. It can do MSCAN but requires a rather compicated modifcation to either install a HS/MSCAN switching circuit as outlined in the first sticky in the Ad...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hello Again Harold First off I have to clarify my statement of the dates MSCAN was used. It began phase in in 2004 and was fully impemented in 2009-2010. As to your pin assignment question, Pin 2+ and Pin 10- in the DLC connector are for J1850/PWM/FordSCP (all these describe the same thing, confusin...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hello phnorris Short answer to your first Question No! To your second question only if you are ready to replace your PCM and reprogram it and likely several other modules as well!!! Now to be a little less dramatic, MSCAN was not used on most fords until 2008- 2009 and if your Lincoln had a pin 3 it...

Re: Modifying an OBDLINK SX USB Adapter for HS/MS-CAN relay managed by RTS

Hello ham_op Before you go to all that trouble of modifying an OBDlink SX, it might helpful to determine if your 03 escape even has MS-Can or even HS-Can for that matter. If it is like my 03 Expedition, it will have a UART Based Protocol on Pin 3 in the data link connector and no number 11 pin and t...

Re: UBP

Will a J2534 adapter allow access modules on the UBP network? Can FORScan access them? Well, from all J2534 adapters we saw only Ford VCMII does support UBP... And no, UBP is not supported for J2534 yet as testing of UBP is not successful yet (we had no chance yet to get a local access to a vehicle...

Re: ABS Service Bleed service procedure missing? (2013 Fiest

I'm assuming I'm the only one to be experiencing this issue. Is there any way to raise a bug report? Naturally I would of course be more than happy to help with diagnosis/testing to aid fixing if required. Hello M: Attach the contents of your users\(your account file)\APPData\roaming\forscan\logfil...

Re: Pats Programing help

You will need to attach the contents of the log file folder in your C:\users\{your user account}\appdata\roaming\FORscan Folder to an email and send it to contact@forscan.org. It should contain a dump.bin file and a FORScan.log file. These instructions can be also found in the Forscan program by clic...
