Re: Lincoln MKZ Sync 2 to Sync 3, ABD changes not working

The brackets only require modification if you didn't get a new screen from a similar vehicle. Screen type and mounting bracket compatibility is explained here: https://sync3programming.com/Sync-3-APIM-Programming-for-FORScan-via-Email-by-DanMc85-p112322808 Sometimes my APIM abt changes don't take ef...

Re: just put in sync 2 in my 2013 f150

On the sync2 screen, does the top-right quadrant say "Information" or "Navigation"? If it say "Information" then the APIM does not have Nav enabled, but it can be hacked to enable it. If it says "Navigation" then maybe upgrade it to 3.10. If I recall correctly, it will say "Navigation - Insert Nav S...

Re: *.ABT format in FORScan

@clockWorK - this is a very cool program! Thank you for developing that. I have a question about the .cct data or CCC_DATA as it's called in the Ford .ab format: is it possible to read in .cct data we saved using FORScan to compare to what is in our .ab file from Ford? I notice it does not seem to ...

Re: Climate control 2016 Explorer platinum not working

FORscan has some HVAC settings regarding 'Climate Repeater'. I don't know what those settings do, but I've always imagined that it had to do with having both physical HVAC buttons and on-screen buttons. Did your Sync 2 system have HVAC controls on the screen? If so, then I assume Sync 3 will be able...

Re: 2014 f250 sync3

Did you try the built-in HVAC options in FORScan APIM configuration, or are you trying to modify bytes in the AsBuilt data? When I upgraded to Sync3, the first thing I did was find a vehicle like mine (same model, same Nav, same Sony, same climate stuff) that came with Sync 3. In my case, I found a ...

Re: Heated / Cooled seats and HSW codes

I'm pretty sure Forscan now has the HVAC settings exposed in the non-AsBuilt section for the APIM. No need to edit bytes by hand for this.

Re: Sync 3 volume indication missing

Just guessing here... Delete your vehicle profile in forscan. Reconnect. Specify Sync 3 when prompted. Clear all DTCs. Worst case, they come back. Disconnect. Turn off car. Give it time to ensure APIM shuts down completely. Turn car on and try volume. What version of Sync3 is your APIM running? 2.0,...

Re: USING FORSCAN WITH OTHER VEHICLES

Is your wife's car a Ford / Lincoln / Mazda made in the last 10ish years? If so, shouldn't be a problem. However, FORScan will ask you if you're connecting to the same vehicle as last time. Don't say 'Yes' if it's not the same vehicle. I've used FORScan on 10 to 15 different vehicles, all from my ta...
