Re: Known problems with china clones of ELM327
Thanks for all the details. I'm using Forscan for windows and I'm very happy with it, and I'm will be using IOS and/or Android Lite version too, but more as a toy then a real tool. Indeed my actual car (Mazda CX-7) has MS-Can and I was able to connect to it after modifying my ELM327 clone. I was abl...

Re: Known problems with china clones of ELM327
In fact we do not recommend WiFi, if there is a choice. Why? Because in real world conditions china WiFi adapters often have less reliable wireless channel and even slower than Bluetooth ones, not talking about USB. But in case of iOS with FORScan there is no choice yet, unfortunately. OBDLink MX W...

Re: Standard and Extended licenses for Windows
If you are talking about the key file for the license, do as said in the first page : " 4. You have 2 ways to apply the license key: 4.1. Just double-click on the file and confirm adding the registry record, then restart FORScan. 4.2. Use button Load license key in FORScan->About section, then ...

Re: Known problems with china clones of ELM327
Ok tx for the info. I will definitely buy a OBDLink adapter. I was thinkink to go for a USB one since I find the BT sometime unstable, but this is perhaps due to the clone quality. Do you advise WiFi OBDLink one ? Wifi being faster than BT, and Iphone compatible.

Indeed Fred, I was not aware of this issue. But I'm not surprised, another more reason to get rid of this Iphone.

Re: Known problems with china clones of ELM327
I have a ELM327 Bluetooth clone, the big one with LED's, which I have modified for the MS Can access. I have also a small one that I have just basic tested. I will talk about the first one. I bought this clone 2 years ago without knowing much of OBD adapter original vs clone, etc., and I don't mind ...

Re: Welcome to the new FORScan forum!
Hi from Mexico ! Thank you for making this great program available to us. I'm using it on a 2007 Mazda CX-7 2.3T AWD. I own this car since 2007 but have only discovered Forscan in 2016 while searching for OBD diag for a friend's Mercedes. I was able to detect a low flow in EGR with Forscan service p...

Re: Standard and Extended licenses for Windows
Hi all, I was able to generate and install the trial license. However I would like to inform the board that during the key generation process I was receiving the error "Hardware ID is not entered or incorrect", but nothing was wrong with my Hardware ID. I was entering a phone number of 15 ...
