Where did you read that you have to open it with IE and add to registry?

From your previous message, I understood that you opened the license file with Firefox.
And consequently, by mistake, associating the license extension to Firefox.
That's a way to remove that association.

P.S.
I would recommend you enable "show file name extensions" in Windows.

Every time I download the extended license key it automatically downloads to adobe acrobat I think your PC does have file extensions hidden (always a bad thing, IMHO). I have tried both ways as shown on the About page. NOTHING WORKS. My computer is showing Forscan as the directory in windows and wants me to type in a "file name" to continue to open the file.
