Tire Sensor Fault determination with Forscan?

Greetings and Happy New Year to all!!

My 2006 Ford Explorer is showing a "TIRE SENSOR FAULT" code on the dashboard and would like to know if Forscan can show which of the sensors is the one at fault?

Regards,
Mark

Re: Ford As Built Data Deciphering

Last month, I purchased a modified As-Built file (.AB) for my car to enable the AWD gauge on my 2013 Taurus SHO. I first used FORScan to read and save the .ABT files from every module of my car. Then I compared the FORScan files to the purchased .AB file, and identified the difference. At 720-01-02...

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

Well thanks to forum member “Sheltonfilms”, this problem has been fully corrected. The “wrench” icon is gone and the “park aid” option no longer appears anywhere. My vehicles options settings have been restored to their “as built” configuration by adding the factory data to line 720-01-01 of the IC,...

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

Should but there is a line I'm seeing in the service manual that concerns me (hold off for right now until you can answer the questions below): NOTE NOTE: If the IC is installed new, updated, or re-configured, the IC requires a parameter reset to allow the IC and the PCM to recognize the Passive An...

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

One of those bytes is for 4x4 and the other is for rear parking sensors. I checked your VIN and see you didn't have it but the IC cluster's VIN does. This should also clear the code below because it's currently trying to communicate with a module that isn't there. IC U0159 -60 lost communication wi...

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

Here you go

I noticed the 4x4 and 4x4 low lights turn on when putting the key in the “on” pisition and my truck is 2WD.

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

Don't worry about the monitors. You got code p1000 because the keep alive memory was wiped out from a battery disconnect. Was the instrument cluster brand new or was it programmed to another vehicle? The shop probably just did a parameter reset so they could program the PATS system. Sounds like the...

Re: 2006 Explorer with Powertrain Malfunction Indicator

[quote="sheltonfilms"]The powertrain malfunction light is just an extension of the check engine light. It means the PCM has caught something going on or the 4x4 module has (if equipped) and a code has been set. This code may or may not be picked up by generic scanners but forscan should pull it for ...

Re: Unable to switch on/off the park aid function 2006 Explo

Update: I managed to obtain through Ford the module build data (As-built) using the vehicle’s VIN and through ForScan i have access to the As-built data of each module. Looking through the IC module data there are numerous differences in each of the codes Considering that my stock PCM was replaced w...

Re: Important notes about As Built configuration and program

Hi Anyone have the “As built” data sheet for a 2006 Ford Explorer 4.0 L? I need to turn off the “park aid” function which my truck does not have but after my PCM/instrument cluster was changed/programmed by a shop Forscan has revealed DTC’s related to lost communication with parking assist control m...
