Re: FORScan adapter recommendations?

I see you have a Mazda 3, mines a Mazda 6 and I use a Tacklife adaptor on Wifi to my Samsung Tablet and it works fine. Not tried the Service functions yet though.

Re: PID profiles

Sorted! I tried clearing the Cache and uninstalĺing and reinstalling the Forscan Software to no avail, they were still there. So, went into Files on my Android Tablet, and used the find 'glass' and typed in Forscan, Find. And there were the files for the the Pid Profiles. 3 dots gave me several tool...

Re: Cleaning clogged DPF on Ford Focus II 1.6 TDCI

Hey, 2015 mazda6 2.2 dt. Engine oil light regularly comes on. Oil level had always risen to the 'X'. WTF? Mechanic did not know what was going on. The internet helped me figure out it was automatic DPF regens while driving, causing oil to be diluted with diesel fuel. Seriously considered DPF remova...

Re: Reset MAF sensor

Ok, I can see resetting/ relearn for a new MAF, but a new air filter?? I see Forscan have added SERVICE items section like resetting the EGR or Oil , fuel inj learn , to the Tablet edition, presumably all vehicles, not just Mazda. Haynes used to publish a book on codes/ tuning and working with them,...

PID profiles

I have set up several PID Profiles in memory and would like to wipe them completely and start again. I have cleared the cache, cleared the Data and tried the bin on that screen , but to no avail. It was suggested I go into Settings/applications/Forscan and clearit there, but that didn't help they ar...

PID profiles

As I have a few PID Profiles I have saved, I would like to delete them and start again in a much more structured way. I have tried deleting my old profiles via the bin icon, but nothing works. Looking through the Forscan instructions, it cannot be done as suggested. I use a Tacklife OBD reader trans...

Re: Reset MAF sensor

Reset it after a new MAFs been installed or a new air filter. Why would you need to reset a MAF after fitting a new air filter? A MAF as the name suggests measures the air flow over the sensor so it can give the correct fueling, so it is variable all the time. A blocked air filter would limit the a...

Re: Where to buy a compatible adapter?

Try this one, I use it on a Mazda 6 2.2d, 2014 and its suitable for all the Skyactive Mazda range and perhaps none Skyactive, it is mainly read only, though perhaps its Forscan via a Tablet is read only, but it does show codes. https://www.tacklifetools.com/product/product/index/id/153 If they had o...

Re: A/C Problem

Another good test is to place a thermometer probe in a dash ac outlet, the difference between outside ambient ( say from your dash reading ) and the probe delivery temperature should be a minimum of 11°C, any less and you are possibly short of gas. I assume you give the ac an ocassional run even dur...

Re: Backup camera calib error B115E:08-48

A couple of weeks ago my backup camera in my 2011 explorer limited quit working. I picked up a new one and installed. The camera works now except the image is upside down! I tried to perform the rear camera calibration in FORScan but every time at 8% I get the "Test aborted. Perform a self-test to ...
