Re: Unable to connect to vehicle.

Try using wifi and make sure you are not connected to your home wifi. Go into Settings on your device and select the Wifi signal from the OBD adaptor and Connect. Go through the 'set up instructions' you can download from this website, best printed off. Initially once you get the connection to the c...

Re: 60 Gallon tank

Why would anyone want to carry 60 gallon of fuel around with them, think of what the weight does to your fuel consumption. Assuming a pick up truck has a 20 gallon tank then that is an extra 181 kg approximately your lugging about. Why do you need a 6.7 litre diesel anyway, in Europe vans and trucks...

Re: Searching for WIFI... No ELM Found. New device added

As I have this old smart phone of the Wife's that is locked to ZTE in the US, it can still be used as a tablet, so I tried downloading Forscan to this and it worked. Even after shutting the car down , in fact you can set up a PID profile, save it then delete the set up screen to set up a new one. So...

Ah!

After uninstalling and reinstalling for the 2nd time I was going through the menu options on the left until I came to Settings , then Connection Type . Hit the Wifi button and it worked. Could have kicked myself, if there had been room in the footwell. Said it would be something simple. Just a quest...

Re: Cleaning clogged DPF on Ford Focus II 1.6 TDCI

If you carry out a forced Regen then change the oil and filter before driving the car, there has been enough troubles with the Gen 1& 2 2.2d Mazdas and the early Gen 3's with sludge in the sump and badly worn camshafts. The Skyactive 2.2d's are not designed for total town driving, poor design on Maz...

Re: Searching for WIFI.... No ELM Found

I have a similar problem, but this is using a Motorola mobile phone with a TackLife Wifi dongle. I am using Forscan Lite on a 2014 Mazda 6. It has worked before and my Samsung Tablet ( not phone) works without any problem. The phone just stopped making the connection. The WiFi signal strength to the...

Re: Saving PID

Yes thefe is Jeff, there should be a Save symbol like the 2nd generation floppy at the top of one of your screens. Press this, then it will ask you to name a Profile which is what they call a series of PIDS together. Then you could pick 6 more, Save, Name profile. I shouldn't worry about them being ...

Re: Is there a Mazda-specific diagnostic software?

Forscan will give you a lot of engine readings if thats what you are looking for. Temperatures, pressures, flow, voltages, amps, resistance, oil dilution (though this is a Mazda programmed based on various factors, not a chemical analysis). With Forscan you are seening the same as a mechanic would i...

Re: FORScan adapter recommendations?

I see you have a Mazda 3, mines a Mazda 6 and I use a Tacklife adaptor on Wifi to my Samsung Tablet and it works fine. Not tried the Service functions yet though.
