Re: A/C Problem

Another good test is to place a thermometer probe in a dash ac outlet, the difference between outside ambient ( say from your dash reading ) and the probe delivery temperature should be a minimum of 11°C, any less and you are possibly short of gas. I assume you give the ac an ocassional run even dur...

Re: Backup camera calib error B115E:08-48

A couple of weeks ago my backup camera in my 2011 explorer limited quit working. I picked up a new one and installed. The camera works now except the image is upside down! I tried to perform the rear camera calibration in FORScan but every time at 8% I get the "Test aborted. Perform a self-test to ...

Mazda 6 Oil warning

About 700 mile ago I changed my own oil ( intermediate change 6k into service period of 12k) in a 2014 M6 Euro (UK) diesel and expected the sensor to throw up the light on the dash. I had bought the OBD reader and Forscan software to clear the error light afterwards. After changing the oil, no error...

Re: Pass-through adapter for both Ford and Mazda?

Hoping I can cut through the murk a little (or get a hand up this steep learning curve)... just bought 2 new 2018 vehicles and sold an old VW (2018 Ford Transit 250 and 2018 Mazda 3). My old Vag-Com is ending auction in a few hours and it looks like I'll have about $300 to use towards my new diagno...

Re: Cleaning clogged DPF on Ford Focus II 1.6 TDCI

After removal of DPF but before washing, i would recommend filling it with a strong solution of soapy water as soap disolves carbon. If you can leave it an hour or so or better still overnight it will soften any carbon and it will rinse out with the water. I have cleaned vacuum EGR valves and heatex...

Re: Lite/Tacklife/ Mazda6 2014 Diesel

Following some welcome guidance from Forscan managed to obtain readings of Exhaust, coolant, oil, ambient temperatures, plus rpm and oil pressure, battery voltage so far, so that side of the data logging works well. Set the software to WiFi and turn off Bluetooth. A screen will come up and click on ...

Lite/Tacklife/ Mazda6 2014 Diesel

Bought the Tacklife Model : AOBD1W for Wifi/Bluetooth operation for my Tablet (not phone) for checking my 2014 Mazda 6 Skyactive 2.2 diesel UK. The Demo software did start talking to the car, confirming Vin, total miles, but got the year wrong. Could not pick up any running data like rpm or coolant ...

Oil dilution light reset Mazda Skyactive Diesel .UK

The car is a Mazda 2.2D 2014 Skyactive British model. Following an oil change I understand this light on the dash has to be reset in the ECU. Only the diesels have this light and stamping any of the pedals or messing about in the fuse box earthing terminals with wires will not reset the light on the...
