Dragging up - predefined displays and fault sub-codes

Hi. Quite a while ago I wondered if we might be able to: Have a preset config option that if a particular vehicle type was found, selected a standard set of pids to display Have a way to display fault sub-codes -( for Delphi cr systems.) These are both quite obscure and the second is of use for quit...

Re: Bad clone detected before attached to car?

Thanks very much for the yet again excellent support. I suggested they try 2.2.7 before i posted here just in case but havent heard back yet. I am not optomistic though, but if they succeed will let you know.

Thanks again for an excellent product.

Re: Bad clone detected before attached to car?

Hi Fred08155 Thanks very much for that, I do understand that certain responses or lack of responses can indicate an adaptor that isn't emulating a real elm327 properly and that forscan now tests for that and a jolly good thing too when one of the things that makes the software author's job hard is t...

Bad clone detected before attached to car?

Hi again. I've pointed someone at forscan pats functionality as he needs to add a key to a mondeo mk3. He hasn't used Forscan before. He's sent me this message "Also, got my ELM327 cable but (having spent a few days pulling hair to get the drivers to work with my win 10 tablet) Forscan recognises th...

Re: Known problems with china clones of ELM327

Have a number of members on our forum who are using forscan with mondeo mk3 tdci. In general excellent results, but a little mixed when it comes to coding injectors (sorry, that one again!). I'm wondering if there are any commands which have to supported that our members could test for? Or performan...

Thanks very much for the update and email. Nice to know I wasn't completely missing something! Great support as always, never ceases to surprise me how good this is especially when the base product is free. Thanks again:-)

Re: Fault codes

That could be precisely it. If so, and the same info is visible for the cars our members drive, that would be a huge help. The few I've seen in person i dont recall seeing sub codes displayed, but i've been lucky with my personal car. I've pm'd the forscan team with some further info so i expect all...

Re: Fault codes

Hi Forscan I've emailed a link to relevant documentation. Hope it helps. Not a big thing but in my particular area of interest would be really useful. Any feedback greatly appreciated. Hi Fred08155 I think what you mean is pending DTCs. These are the same codes as ordinary DTCs but system is waiting...

Re: Fault codes

Hi Fred08155 Thanks very much for your reply. Sorry I do see what you mean, but unless I'm missing something I probably haven't explained myself very clearly. There is a difference between a dtc and a fault code, in some Ford vehicles subsystems at least. A single DTC may be logged as a result of a ...

Re: Fault codes

Hi Rob. Thanks for the reply, I quite understand what you mean. Even now we hear about garages who read a p0251 and say new pump without further investigation. It's interesting that you find this code is most often down to injector faults. Do you have equipment that can display fault codes? Curious ...
