Re: DPF Issue Ford Mondeo 2012MY 2.0 TDCI Duratorq

I've seen DPFs cleaned out with Traffic Film Remover and a pressure washer, amazing what comes out!.

Re: Resetting ABS module - will it need calibrating?

Just clearing the DTC codes should be fine.

There is a function to RESET certain modules abd that would more than likely require a recalibration afterwards.

You've got a fair few DTC's..

Re: Testing learning functions for Powershift 6DCT450 (MPS6)

Throttle full down and hard press on brake pedal for the FULL procedure. Takes a couple of minutes normally.

Re: Tcm

No chance, I bought a VCM11 to program ours but even then it requires a Ford subscription.

You can split the Mecatronic unit and fit your old TCU to a new Valve/solenoid body.

Other option is to send both new and old Mecatronic units to be cloned by a gearbox specialist?.

Re: 6DCT450 clutch\fork learning - thoughts?

I have done this plenty of times now. I do clutch lean first and then shift learn. Unfortunately our Kuga 2013 Powershift gearbox eventually suffered the inevitable failure due to the poor design of the clutch damper plastic spring guides, these will ruin the rest of the gearbox. I've spent a month ...

Re: Any thoughts on Ford VCM II China Clone ?

I bought a VCM11 to re-program our Powershift TCU, without the Ford subscription it's next to useless!.

FORScan with ELM is far better for normal diagnostics imho.

Re: Real milage?

I did a scan with FORScan after fitting another Powershift gearbox and it listed exactly the same milage as the Kuga clocks.

Would have thought the TCM would log it's own mileage from new?.

Do all modules save mileage independently?.

Hello all, I'm on with fitting a 2017 Powershift 6DCT450 to my 2013 MK2 Kuga. It's been a monumental pain but finally mounted up on hand made bell housing adapter plates!. I've had it turned on and theres and odd thing in FORScan?, when reading the new TCU it brings the cars mileage up (68k), I woul...

Re: Powershift Gearbox Galaxy Mk3

This is our 2013 Kuga Powershift. As well as the horrendously stupid use of plastic they also have dry joint issues in the TCU boards. I am doing a 2017 gearbox conversion (6DCT451?). This has a standard damped flywheel and the gearbox is different to suit. Would not trust any part of my 2013 gearbo...

I've bought a VCM11 with IDS so will see how I get on with that, doesn't look straight forward!.
