Re: ms-can vs scp

Hi Phnorris If it is anything like the 03 Expy, the IPC will show as connected to the same network as the PCM as the PCM is where the odometer/speedometer data is collected and is stored. In my expy that is on the SPC/PWM Network and in your case it appears to be HSCan. Other functions are likely mo...

Re: 2008 F150 ISO/UBP MODULES

Hi SIGNAL20K9 I will have to correct my self as I am an old man and my fingers get on the wrong keys and my memory is not as good as it used to be! The model number should be "SP177-C or C1"(has wireless capability) but unfortunately they seem to be out of stock where I bought my mine at http://www....

Re: Can Forscan Diagnos Transmission programiming

Hello toolate If you are asking about the 6DCT250(DPS6) trans-axle, have good long read at this link https://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1672#p6301 and if that does not scare you then this link https://ford.oemdtc.com/1514/dps6-clutch-adaptive-learn-tips-and-error-resolution-general-servic...

Re: what does “air_mode_dpos,%” mean?

Hello Guys That refers to the air mode door (Upper level vents, heater and Defrost or Heater A/C Air temp blend door) open or closed position of its stepper motors in number of steps from a known starting point given in a percent open to close. Sensors would work the same way on vacume operated door...

Re: 2000 Excursion Under Dash Fuse Panel

Hi And welcome to the forum elkvis I am afraid there is no simple answer to your question and I do not have a definitive answer as I am only familiar with the newer 03 Expedition and 05 F150! The answers will depend on what protocols the modules in your Excursion communicate on and the fact that you...

Re: 2008 F150 ISO/UBP MODULES

Hi SIGNAL20K9 I will correct Thatonedude on one point in that UBP support for VCM2s only, has been available in Forscan since Version 2.3.09 as I helped to develop it! In fact I had my VCM2 connected to both my UBP vehicles yesterday The reason you see a request for a switch to ISO/UBP is because in...

Re: tire pressure monitoring system (tpms)

Hello dusty In the 04 expedition there should be a line in the Instrument cluster module configuration that can be enabled to turn on or off TPMS or a line to enable as not equipped. That is how it is done in my 03 Expedition. In my case it was not equipped as the module harness was missing the modu...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hi Harold If your Ford DVD Has the diagrams for the computer data lines it should show any UBP bus modules connected to pin 3. you should be able to check for signal between pin 3 and pin 4 which is signal ground and/or 5 which is chassis ground and if you get signal then pin 3 is monitoring somethi...

Re: ms-can vs scp

Hi Harold When you first posted I suspected you had one of the bad China clones or a bad one of the ELS27 adapter. I tried to order one from the Russian site but never got a response and because I have two vehicles with a pin 3 and no pin 11 which means UBP protocol modules, I opted for a Good quali...

Re: not running full program for diagnostic

Hello jksmith Unfortunately the adapter you have OBDLinkSX has no MSCAN support built in and the modules you are looking for are most likely on MSCAN. It can do MSCAN but requires a rather compicated modifcation to either install a HS/MSCAN switching circuit as outlined in the first sticky in the Ad...
