Re: 2011-2015 Ford Explorer Mods (11-16 for SYNC II MFT)

thanks I think that could be helpful, I'm working with an MFT setup to retrofit to a 2014 mustang.

If I may ask, how do you figure out the codes? By trial and error?

Re: Mustang GT 2016 Activate Line Lock (Australian Model)

There a few 2015+ specific forums out there, with as-built threads I would suggest you google for those and check in those threads. If you can't find it, let me know, I can did up the sites from my browsing history. I am only guessing here, but can I assume that line lock is disabled in Australian m...

Re: 2016 f150 stock acm settings help

Go here, plug-in your VIN, download your as-built: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

Load the as-built into clockwork's excellent as-built analysis tool: http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_A ... mpare.aspx

Check the ACM config and compare to what Forscan sees.

Re: turning on sat in 2017 mustang

download clockwork's excellent as-built analysis tool: http://www.compulsivecode.com/Project_AsBuiltCompare.aspx Download your as-built and the as-built from a vehicle with the sat option: https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt Best to find a vehicle with nearly identical options to yours so that...

Re: turning on sat in 2017 mustang

The usual method is to find VINs of mustangs with the same options as yours but also sat. Download the as-built from ford web site and use the as-built explorer tool to compare and find the difference. Google around for both these.

Suggest to buy the ELS27. Don't buy a clone though (see clone thread).

Re: 2016 F150 and 2009 Mustang

Does your adapter support both MS-CAN and HS-CAN? (or do you have a switch to select?). Older adapters might only support HS-CAN (pin 6, 14) , the MS bus is on pins 3,11. If your old adapter does only HS-can, the the MX will see more in your f150, not sure about the mustang, don't know off hand if i...

thanks. but v1.3.9 doesn't seem to find anything. In any case I would need a more recent version that can edit the as-built.

Re: Attention - bad clone of ELS27

The listing says "PIC24HJ128GP+FTDI Microchip". My cars need the SAE J1850 PWM protocol and connections (they are 2001 Ford/Mercury models). That is most likely the reason it does not work. If I am not mistaken most ELM327 clones support only canbus and not J1850, extra parts are needed for that in...

Re: Attention - bad clone of ELS27

A real ELS27 should show STN2120 V4.1.1 (ELM327 v1.3a). A real ELS27 has a special version of the STN1170, I think with bigger buffers or something. The clone most likely has a microchip microcontroller with cloned/hacked firmware and may not even have the real STN1170 firmware. Furthermore, looking...
