Power balance/Cylinder contribution test on 2005 F150

Post by lambition » Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:12 pm

Is cylinder contribution test not available for 2005 F150 5.4L ?
My truck has developed rough idle without setting any codes and I was hoping to be able to do a power balance/cylinder contribution test to figure out which cylinder may be the cause.
However, I do not see such a test on the menu.

As far as I know the PCM is capable of such a test since I have seen it being done with Ford IDS and other OBD II scanners. How do I do such a test with FORScan?

I do not believe it is available yet. I have an 05 Navigator and would love to be able to do a power balance test. Maybe sometime
