Mazda 6 MZR-CD 2.0 GH 2008 disabel DPF regen

Postby infiazzz » Fri May 11, 2018 1:36 pm

Hi everyone,

I wonder if its possible to disabel DPF passive regen with forscan.
Or at least change the values on the ECU to make regens less frequent...

Many thanks

Hi,would disabling the regen or reducing frequency not result in dpf failure eventually.? It must be wanting to regenerate frequently due to vehicle operating conditions, are you doing lots of short journeys?

yes, i'm aware that disabeling DPF regen will cause failure and a lot money to get it repaired or replaced... and yes, i'm doing short trips all week, and at weekend i do alot of higway and long jorneys... i just wanted a way to DPF regenerate in the right moment... its a waste of fuel when it tryes to regen on my short trips. so i wonder if there is a way to change the values on the ECU.
Or make a way to start regen only when i wanted to.

Sorry for my grammar (i'm portuguese) i understand everything but writing is not my best quality... lol

its a difficult one but if your doing decent runs at weekends should be enough to keep it clear,if its run at higher revs for a portion of that.

So, how can i make this happen? is it possible with forscan? how can i get help from the forscan developers? i think it might be helpefull for people in the same situation as i am... and i think that doing proper regen at weekends is more helthier than allways interrupt during the all week...

I think the dpf is partial full, that,s why it wants to regen so often. It could be soot but if the mileage is high, then it will be ash load. The ecu cannot tell the difference, so best get it cleaned.
