Static Regen Service Interrupted / Limp Mode

Postby Mazda_3 » Wed May 09, 2018 3:34 pm

Hi,
I have a 1.6L 2010 MAzda 3.
My car has been in limp mode and as such unusable for a while now, recently, my Fuel Additive Tank was replaced with a new one, however, my car is still in limp mode, the garage told me a regen will put it back to normal.

I have tried doing a static regen through FORScan, however, after 11% I get a message saying the service was interrupted. Does anyone know why this may be?
The errors showing on my car currently are P0380-61, Glowplug control circuit and B1014 Light Sensor Error.
I have been reading through the forums and have seen that the a Glowplug issue could be the reason for the limp mode...I will ask the garage to change this for me to see if there is any luck but does anyone know why the regen may be getting interrupted?

Edit: just run the diagnostics again and error 2458-61 (DPF regeneration duration)
is also present, can anyone advise as I am not able to get it to do a static regen?

Thanks in advance.

Get them to check the ash load. Then the soot load. Then repair it. simple really. The reason why you can,t do a regen is, you have faults.

Thanks for your reply...the local garage recently cleaned the dpf with a dpf cleaner, p2458, p0380 and b1014 still present.
It’s interesting you mention the errors could be preventing the regen, I have been to a few garages and they keep assuring me it has no link to the dpf despite me telling them I have seen this online. They are suggesting it will be a waste of money since my car starts perfectly fine suggesting it may only be one glow plug which is our.

Do you think changing glow plugs will allow a regen to remove the p2458 error? Very desperate at this stage.

Sounds like it would be worth changing the glow plugs, how can I check the spot and smash levels, I don’t seem to have those options in live data under PCM option?
