2015 Ford edge want to install navigation

Hello I am interested in putting navigation in a 2015 ford edge titanium that does not have navigation on my ford touch!
I have the OBd2 elm 327 and FORScan. I am pretty techy just need to know what hexadecimal numbers or letters to change to do this if anyone can help I’d appreciate it.

YOU can not do it .but if you read 1000 post like I did you can update your sync sys to 3.08 update then find the png wallpaper file then change the required 7d01-02 line of code w/FORscan then buy a ford sd card a-8 map it will work DO NOT attempt to update your sync sys thru syncmyride.com they closed the loophole for the navunlock png wallpaper

Sorry, just for clarification. I was planning on doing this following (as you point out) the many threads telling how to do it, but your last line threw me. My MFT is updated to 3.08 through syncmyride, a while ago. Does that mean I will not be able to turn on navigation? I don't want to buy an A-8 only to find out it no longer works. Can you explain the line "DO NOT attempt to update your sync sys thru syncmyride.com they closed the loophole for the navunlock png wallpaper"? It'll save me the cost of the sd card if I'm reading it right.

I'm trying to do the same thing with myfordtouch except I have a 2015 F-150. I do want to install nav as well. I'm confused with "timburon". I don't want to attempt it and purchase the cable if it doesn't work. Do I also have to purchase the navigation SD card from ford?

sorry for the late replys guys mft sync 3.08 will work using the PNG image on forums FORD sync my ride is now above that firmware .and the open window is closed .find like I did 3.08 update no higher! unzip copy to a stick 4 gig or higher size .put in usb port it will self load .it takes about 45 minutes car must be running ! (battery saver will shut down if not running!) then find the PNG image copy to a smaller stick go to wallpaper on touch screen and save image .do a master reset .then the FORscan magic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just tried it and I'm able to get NAV. I ended up buying an A8 card on ebay.

I just updated my 2011 Ford Edge to have navigation.
Updated SYNC2 to 3.8 (software v3.08).
Used FORScan to change the first two numbers from 00 to 04 in field 7D0-01-02.
the PNG image worked to activate navigation.
Installed Nav update files.
Took about 30 mins total. I have an A3 map card and it works. Now looking for a cheap A8.

The ELM327 interface was a generic one from AliExpress, Model VINT-TT55501.

Great to here just remember to never update thru fords syncmyride.com you will loose the nav 3.08 is still the highest version you can use current is 3.14 I think
