Ford Falcon 2008 PATs programming is not available

Postby majidf » Fri Dec 29, 2017 2:05 am

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to do a PATS programming on a Ford Falcon 2008 Australian made. Both keys are lost. I got two new keys which are cut. Forscan connects and I can perform everything as usual but I can't see any option for PATs programming as you see in the attached picture. A locksmith tried to fix this before for my friend but seems he screwed this up. There is a couple of DTC errors I see and I can't get rid of it. It was quite straightforward when I add a spare key for my Mazda but seems not easy for this ford. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you work this out as I have a 2008 FG with only one key so i will be looking to clear and re-program mine when my new keys arrive.

As far as I know, the FG is not supported by Forscan for PATS Programming, BA and BF is supported, and although I have not tried, I think the later AU models with SmartShield are supported.

It would be handy if you took logs from your car and sent them to the Forscan team so they can implement FG Key Programming in the future.

Edit: The DTC's that wont clear may be related to having a Key in the Ignition that is not programmed to the car. As seen in your pic it is referring to a PATS Error from a non programmed key.

@Crazy181: not yet, at least I couldn't find anything useful to do PATs yet.

@Sam: Cheers mate, Thanks for the explanation.
