2016 Focus ST RCM DTC U3000 after Seat Swap

Postby Elmacho » Sat Sep 23, 2017 11:28 am

Decided to swap out the ST3 Leather seats for Cloth Seats as I am a big guy. After the swap RCM reports incorrect component detected. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this? Battery was disconnected during seat swap and I have reset the DTC as well as the RCM and it continues to throw the incorrect component DTC.

Thank you

The original seats in the car is 2015 and the new seats are from 2018. Seats are the same no new stuff added. The DTC code reads "Incorrect Component Installed". I tried resetting but the fault is still there.
