Can you please post the full DTC code, or better the whole output FORScan provides for this DTC, including status, subcode, and description?

The DTC B1B54:12 means there is a problem with the PAM system status indicator/switch. Either the circuit between PAM module and the switch/LED is damaged/disconnected, or the Switch/LED is damaged. Considering there are other similar DTCs (in other modules), we would assume somebody tried to fix something in this vehicle (or intall additional equipment etc) and did not assembled some circuits properly.

In any case, you cannot do anything else with FORScan as it can not fix mechanical faults yet :) In fact it did its job already, now you need a help of a qualified electrician (not mandatory a Ford one, but Ford one have electric scheme etc). Ford developed a pin point test for this DTCs, unfortunately it requires electric scheme to work with. Simplified one would look like the following:

1. Make sure the switch/LED is connected
2. Check the switch and LED for mechanical and electrical faults

If you are facing the DTC B1B54:12 then it means there is a problem with the PAM system status indicator.
it is only because if the circuit between PAM module and the LED is disconnected or the LED is damaged. Considering there are other similar DTCs, we would assume somebody tried to fix something in this vehicle.
Must ensure that the LED is connected. Also Check the switch and LED for mechanical and electrical faults.

FORScan

I have found your post May 18 2018 relating to Parking aid issues. I have the same problem.
Could you expand a little please.
You say make sure the switch/LED is connected. Is this the switch on the dash foe the front sensors? Check same for mechanical and electrical faults. I'm not really sure what I'm testing. Sorry but could you point me in the right direction.

Hi
I too had this code and spent many hours researching a (possible) fix.
As the parking aid system shuts down completely when there's a fualt I couldn't check which sensor(s) where faulty, if any, as there would be no sound or vibration from any of the sensors.
I did have to remove the rear bumper cover for an unrelated issue so at the same time I replaced the rear sensor loom, which apparently is sometimes the cause.
It made no difference.
I replaced the switch too, ans the error code pointed at possible LED switch fault - mane no difference.

So, I took it to Ford for a diagnostic. They literally repeated what Forscan found with no resolve other than to book it in again so their Master Tech guy could look into it more.....can't remember the cost but it was around £150....and they could still not be able to pinpoint the fault.

The PAM could be the fault, so I bought a used one and replaced.

This is where it gets interesting. I now have NO error tone (where I did with the original PAM fitted, 3 second long beep and flashing LED in switch) when engaging reverse and NO FAULT CODES are present. Great. However there is NO SOUND AT ALL from either the front or rear "beepers" so, although I think the PAM is working, it's pointless without the sound!

So, does the replacement PAM need registering/Coding to the vehicle? I read somewhere that they are plug and play. I didn't find anything on Forscan, other than Module Reset which I did for the PAM but made no difference.

I'm hoping that someone can advise?

Thanks!

Hi Adz99. Thanks for the interesting summary of your attempted repair. This mirrors more or less exactly my own efforts. In the Mondeo workshop manual it says to test pin 2 on the PAM to verify it is working. (second down on left as you look at it from front) This is the text. Hope it helps

1. Disconnect Parking aid module C4MP01A
2 Disconnect Front inner right parking aid sensor C1MP12
3 Disconnect Front outer left parking aid sensor C1MP11
4 Disconnect Front inner left parking aid sensor C1MP10.
5 Disconnect Parking aid module C4MP01B.
6 Measure the resistance between the parking aid module C4MP01B pin 2, circuit LMP06A (VT/GY), harness side and the following electrical
connectors.
Front outer right parking aid sensor C1MP13 pin 1, circuit LMP06C (VT/GY), harness side.
Front inner right parking aid sensor C1MP12 pin 1, circuit LMP06F (VT/GY), harness side.
Front outer left parking aid sensor C1MP11 pin 1, circuit LMP06E (VT/GY), harness side.
Front inner left parking aid sensor C1MP10 pin 1, circuit LMP06G (VT/GY), harness side.

Are the resistances less than 1 Ohm?
Yes
INSTALL a new parking aid sensor(s) as required.
REFER to: Front Parking Aid Sensor (413-13 Parking Aid, Removal and Installation).
TEST the system for normal operation. If the concern persists, INSTALL a new parking aid module.
REFER to: Parking Assist Control Module (PAM) (413-13 Parking Aid, Removal and Installation).
TEST the system for normal operation.
No
REPAIR the circuit(s). TEST the system for normal operation.
