Hello, I have a Bluetooth ELM 327 v2.1 (bought on Ebay) as recognized by running FORScan, which connects smoothly. However, it is not possible to connect to the vehicle. The car is a Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI 130CV 2002, FORScan installed in Windows 7 Starter. I have also tried connecting an OBD2 F-Super (Mobydic 3210) with FORscan and has been impossible. Any suggestion to connect? Sorry, for the translation.

Some new china clones sold on ebay, aliexpress and other places are faulty. At this moment 2 problems are most known, one with counterfeit ELM327 v2.1 chip and ELM327 that support only CAN protocols (doesn't support SAE J1850 PWM that is supported by normal ELM327 and required by Mondeo Mk3). Both are described on our forum:

http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22#p840
http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=22#p2966

As for F-Super (MobyDic) - it is not (and will be not) supported. It is much slower than ELM327, has less flexibility and part of functions (used by their software Formidable) is not documented.

I have two generic Bluetooth ELM327 adapters. The older one (which works) looks similar to the one in this topic about adding the switch http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4

The newer one was purchased about a week ago from eBay. It is one of the mini blue colored ones. It is not working. It gives the following errors
(OK) [16:54:28.651] Connection to adapter is established on COM3
(OK) [16:54:28.652] Adapter: ELM327 v2.1
(ERR) [16:54:28.708] Unable to connect to vehicle. Please make

Vehicle is Ford Fusion HEV 2.5L 2010 model year
Any ideas?

Looks like a fake ELM adapter. As far as i know there is only one genuine ELM v2.1 adapter (with USB) that has been seen in the wild so far.

http://forscan.org/forum/viewtopic.php? ... t=10#p3026
Not really sure if it´s genuine like noone has bought it yet.

Better stay with ELM 1.5 adapters that are known to work.
